Getting started

What are Linkevia and a Linkiz?

Linkevia helps you find an activity, meet people who share that interest and meet again. A Linkiz is the actual meetup: coffee, a walk, a game or a cultural outing. Its page describes the activity, time, venue and available places; Linkevia provides the platform and the member organiser prepares the meetup.

Can I come on my own without knowing anyone?

Yes. Choose an activity you enjoy, read its description and introduce yourself in the discussion once your place is confirmed. You do not need to know the organiser or belong to a group to join an open Linkiz.

Is Linkevia a dating service?

Linkevia centres on shared activities and friendly encounters, with no promise of romantic or professional relationships. Joining an activity never means consenting to persistent requests, sharing contact details or an intimate relationship. Respect everyone's boundaries during and after the meetup.

How old do I need to be?

Linkevia is for people aged 18 and over. You must confirm that you are at least 18 to use your account, join or create a Linkiz, and use groups or messaging. A missing age does not confirm that someone is an adult. Some activities or venues may set a higher minimum age: check the page before joining.

Does attending cost money?

Always check the Linkiz page: drinks, admission, equipment hire or travel may be at your expense. A confirmed Linkevia place is not payment or a booking with the venue. Ask the organiser to clarify any cost and never send money to a stranger under pressure.

Can I browse without an account?

Public pages show a selection of shareable Linkiz and their approximate area. You need an account to join, use messaging and access member-only information. Sharing a link does not make a private or group-restricted activity public.

Finding an activity

How do I find a nearby Linkiz?

Open Discover, choose a city or neighbourhood and adjust the search radius. Use categories and filters to narrow activities or dates. Map view helps you locate meetups in your chosen area; also check the time and entry requirements on the page.

Is location access compulsory?

No. You can decline browser or phone permission and enter a city, neighbourhood or place. If distances look wrong, first check your selected starting point. An activity's area is not a live location feed of its participants.

Why are there no activities?

Widen the radius, try another date and temporarily remove restrictive filters. Availability depends on activities members actually offer in the area. You can also create a simple outing; an empty result does not necessarily indicate an account problem.

What are favourites for?

Favourites let you find an activity again. They do not reserve a place or join its discussion. To attend, open the page and complete the joining process, then check that your place is confirmed.

Who can see the exact meeting place?

The public sharing page shows an approximate area. Signed-in members with access to the Linkiz can see the precise venue before joining. Avoid using a private address as the meeting place: this information is not limited to confirmed participants.

How do I know an activity suits me?

Read the stated level, duration, equipment, costs and access requirements. Ask about accessibility or a particular need before travelling, without publishing medical information. An incomplete description is not a guarantee of accessibility or professional supervision.

Joining and preparing

What is the difference between direct joining and requesting a place?

With direct joining, an available place can be confirmed immediately if you meet the requirements. With approval, the organiser must accept your request. While the status is pending, do not assume you have a place; a favourite or message does not replace confirmation.

Where can I find my registrations?

Open My Linkiz to find activities linked to your account, including upcoming outings and those you organise. Check the page for your participation status. If a registration is missing, make sure you are using the same account as when you requested it.

Why can't I join an activity?

The Linkiz may be full, finished, cancelled, restricted to a particular audience or subject to an age requirement. Your request may also already be pending. Read the message shown and do not create extra accounts to bypass a restriction; contact support if the restriction appears wrong.

Can I bring a friend who has not signed up?

Do not bring an extra person without checking: capacity and conditions are set for confirmed participants. Share the link so your friend can register separately. If companions are allowed, clarify this with the organiser before the outing.

How do we coordinate before meeting?

Once your place is confirmed, use the Linkiz discussion to introduce yourself, ask for a landmark or report a delay. Keep messages relevant to the activity and avoid sharing phone numbers, home addresses or sensitive information. Make useful messages understandable to the whole group.

What if the venue or time changes?

Reopen the page before leaving and check the discussion and notifications. When a venue change asks for confirmation, use the available action to accept or leave. If the updated arrangements no longer suit you, cancel your participation and let the group know.

Organising a Linkiz

How do I create my first Linkiz?

Choose Create a Linkiz and enter a clear activity, date, time, duration, capacity and public venue. Explain the level, equipment and possible expenses, then check the summary before publishing. A small, simple outing is often easier to organise than a packed programme.

Do I need a group before creating an activity?

No. You can offer a one-off Linkiz directly. Groups become useful when several people want to meet regularly around a shared interest. Visibility settings determine who the activity can be offered to.

What information do participants need?

Give an easy-to-recognise meeting point, the plan, duration, level and any access restrictions. Distinguish what is included from what each person must pay for or bring. If the venue needs a booking, explain who will make it; publishing a Linkiz does not automatically book the venue.

What if the venue does not appear in search?

Try its full name, city or address. If the missing-venue option appears, provide useful information for review. Do not deliberately select another establishment to bypass search: the page must describe the actual meeting place.

Can I change or cancel a published activity?

Open the management options for a Linkiz you organise and use the available actions. Tell participants about significant changes even when a notification is expected. Cancelling on Linkevia does not automatically cancel tickets, tables or transport booked with a third party.

What are my responsibilities as an organiser?

Describe the activity honestly, respect the announced capacity and requirements, check necessary permissions or bookings and welcome participants. Do not claim qualifications, insurance or supervision you do not have. Linkevia does not replace a professional when an activity requires one.

Cancellations, attendance and reviews

How do I cancel my place?

Open the activity page and use the participation cancellation action. Do this as soon as you know you cannot attend so the place becomes available. Telling the discussion is helpful, but does not replace cancelling in the interface.

What if I am late or cannot find the group?

Check the venue and latest messages, then tell the Linkiz discussion when you realistically expect to arrive. Stay in a public place and avoid sharing private location details broadly. If you will not attend, use cancellation while it remains available.

How is an absence reported?

After the meetup, confirmed participants are presumed present. The organiser has 48 hours after the Linkiz ends to identify absent participants. Reports must reflect what happened and must not be used to settle a personal disagreement.

How do I dispute an incorrect absence?

Open the absence notice and use the dispute action within the stated 7-day period. Briefly explain the facts, such as when you arrived or spoke to the organiser. A dispute suspends the effect on the reliability indicator during review; if you cannot find the action, contact support with the Linkiz reference.

Who can leave a rating?

Ratings relate to a real meetup and members recognised as present. They should describe the experience, including respect, punctuality and friendliness. Do not post favour-trading or retaliatory ratings; a negative experience never justifies insults or disclosure of personal information.

How do I get a refund for external costs?

For tickets, drinks or services paid directly to a venue or third party, contact that provider under its terms. Keep receipts and check cancellation rules before paying. Linkevia can receive a scam report, but does not guarantee refunds for external payments.

Messages, friends and notifications

What is the difference between a Linkiz discussion and a direct message?

A Linkiz discussion coordinates the outing among authorised participants. A direct message is an exchange with another member where the service permits that connection. In both cases, respect refusals, avoid sensitive content and use reporting tools for abuse.

How do I stay in touch after meeting?

Use the friend request or messaging options on the member's profile. A request may be declined or unanswered: do not insist. Share a new Linkiz to meet again; there is no need to exchange personal phone numbers.

Can I share photos and voice notes?

Messaging supports attachments and voice notes depending on the device and permissions. Ask recognisable people for permission before sharing their photograph. If an upload fails, check your connection, permissions and the error message before trying again.

Why am I not receiving notifications?

Check Linkevia preferences, browser or phone permissions and silent or focus modes. Alerts may also be reduced while you are already reading the conversation. Check My Linkiz and messaging regularly: a notification does not guarantee other participants have read the information.

Does removing a conversation erase it for the other person?

Removing a conversation from your list is different from erasing messages for everyone. The other member may retain their own history or copies already received. Use Contact to request data erasure or report content.

What should I do about unwanted messages?

You can block the member and report the message with its context. Do not send money, login codes or identity documents, and avoid suspicious links. For a real threat, preserve useful evidence and contact the relevant authorities.

Groups and channels

How do I find a group?

Open Groups, then Discover. Search for a name or activity and narrow the results by city or category. My groups brings together your groups, invitations and pending requests.

How do I create a group and invite friends?

In Groups, choose Create a group. Add its description, city, category and rules, then choose its visibility and admission mode. Invite at least two friends: each person must accept. You cannot freely add all Linkevia users.

What is the difference between public, private and approval-based groups?

Public groups can be found in search. Private groups are not listed for everyone. Admission is a separate setting: joining may be immediate or require administrator approval. Conversations are for authorised members.

How do I share a Linkiz with a group?

Open the group and choose Share a Linkiz from the conversation or Linkiz section. You can propose any Linkiz you can access. If approval is required, the proposal waits for an administrator. Sharing does not grant access to a private activity or register anyone automatically.

Can the whole group be invited to an activity?

An administrator can invite members from an approved Linkiz shared in the group. Each person then chooses whether to join, subject to available places and the activity rules. An invitation, a shared activity and confirmed attendance are different steps.

Why has my group become a channel?

Above 100 members, a group becomes a channel: only administrators publish, while members can react when their permissions allow it. If membership falls to 100 or fewer, it stays a channel until an administrator allows everyone to write again.

Why can’t I write in a group?

Check the group information: it may be archived, limited to administrators or no longer include you as a member. An unverified phone, suspension or messaging restriction can also prevent sending. Do not evade restrictions by creating another account; use Contact for help or to appeal a decision.

How do I change notifications or leave a group?

Open the group information, then Notifications: all messages, mentions and replies, or silent. You can also mute alerts temporarily. Leaving is a separate action; an owner must first transfer ownership to a member. You retain only the history allowed by your previous membership.

Safety, reporting and appeals

How can I prepare for a safe first meetup?

Choose a public place, read the activity page and tell someone you trust about your plans. Keep your phone charged and plan your own way home. You can refuse a proposal or leave whenever you feel uncomfortable, without having to justify yourself.

What does the Phone verified badge guarantee?

It only indicates that someone confirmed access to a phone number by text message. It does not prove legal identity, age, qualifications or trustworthy behaviour. Ratings and badges never replace ordinary precautions.

What is the difference between blocking and reporting?

Blocking limits interactions with a member. Reporting sends facts to the team for review and does not automatically result in a sanction. Both actions can help with problematic behaviour; blocking is not a substitute for emergency assistance.

How do I report potentially illegal content without an account?

Open Contact and choose the dedicated category. Provide the exact link or a reference identifying the content, explain the facts and reason for the report, give a reply email and confirm your good faith. Avoid copying or widely redistributing sensitive material to demonstrate the issue.

How can I appeal a moderation decision?

In Contact, choose Appeal a moderation decision. Include the decision reference, what you disagree with and specific information that might change the assessment. Appeals are free and reviewed by a person; submitting one does not automatically restore an account or content.

Can support intervene immediately in an emergency?

No. The form is not monitored continuously and Linkevia is not an emergency service. Move to safety and call emergency services: 112 in the European Union or 17 for police in France. Elsewhere, use the local emergency number; report to Linkevia afterwards.

Phone, contacts and privacy

Can other members see my phone number?

The number used for verification is not published on your profile. The badge indicates verification without showing the number. Avoid adding it yourself to a bio, description or public message if you want it to remain private.

What does address-book synchronisation send?

If you enable it, the app sends phone numbers from contacts you allowed it to access to find matches. Names, photographs and other address-book fields are not sent. Matching then uses protected fingerprints; availability and your settings determine whether the feature can be used.

Does syncing send texts to my contacts?

No. Finding contacts does not automatically send them invitation texts. Sharing an invitation is a separate action you choose. Always check the recipient and content in the sharing app before sending.

Why might a contact become a friend automatically?

When phone discovery is available and both members' settings allow it, a match can create a reciprocal friendship. Blocks and removed friendships prevent automatic re-adding. Review your discovery settings and remove any relationship you do not want to keep.

How do I stop syncing and clear matches?

In phone and contact settings, use the action to stop syncing and delete synced contacts. You can also revoke address-book access in phone settings; reconnect the app so it can process the change. Existing friendships remain and can be managed separately.

Can Linkevia review private content?

Reported content and some media placed in preventive review may be accessed by staff authorised to handle safety and moderation. Access is limited to the case's needs; reviewing a media item does not automatically open an entire conversation. See the privacy policy for recipients, retained evidence and your rights.

Account, data and deletion

How can I edit my profile?

Open your profile and choose Edit my profile to update the available fields. Use accurate information and a photo you have permission to share. Contact support from your account email for a detail you cannot correct in the interface.

How can I download my data?

On the web, open Profile then Data and privacy; in the app, open Settings. Use the data download option and keep the file somewhere private. The JSON export contains structured data and metadata, but not all photograph or voice files; you can request an additional copy.

How can I permanently delete my account?

On the web: Profile → Data and privacy → Delete my account. In the app: Profile → Settings → Permanently delete my account. Read the consequences, type the confirmation word shown and confirm; uninstalling the app or signing out does not delete your account.

What happens to my activities and messages after deletion?

Linkiz you organise are cancelled. Your profile, direct messages and original files are deleted through the technical process, while historic group messages are anonymised. Isolated evidence needed for a report or legal obligation may remain with restricted access; copies made by other people cannot automatically be retrieved.

How can I exercise data rights without deleting my account?

Use Contact → Exercise my data rights and specify access, correction, erasure, objection, restriction or portability, as applicable. A response is normally due within one month; a justified extension may add up to two further months. Identity documents are not routinely required: only proportionate verification where there is reasonable doubt is justified.

Do cookies track me for advertising?

The current policy does not provide for advertising trackers. The site uses items needed for sign-in, preferences and invitation-related data; purposes and retention are explained in Cookies and local storage. Clearing browser data may sign you out or remove local drafts without deleting your account.

Technical help and venues

I cannot sign in: what should I check?

Check your email address, original sign-in method and Internet connection. For a password account, use Forgot password and check spam folders. Do not immediately create a new account: contact support if access remains blocked, without sharing passwords or codes.

I am not receiving a verification code: what should I do?

Check the number and country code, SMS reception and the wait shown before requesting another code. Use the latest code and avoid repeated requests, which may trigger a temporary limit. If the problem persists, tell support the error and number's country, without sending the code.

How can I send a useful bug report?

In Contact, describe the screen, steps taken, expected result and error message. Include your phone model or browser, app version if known and approximate date. The form accepts text and links: do not include sensitive information or personal sign-in links.

How do I know my request was received?

After a successful submission, the form displays a reference: keep it. It confirms registration of your request, but does not guarantee an automatic email or immediate reply. Send additional information to contact@linkevia.com with the reference; if an error appears, submission is not confirmed.

Is every listed venue a Linkevia partner?

No. An establishment may appear as a public meeting place without a commercial relationship with Linkevia. Listing does not guarantee a booking, quality inspection or the venue's approval of a particular activity. Commercial promotion must be identifiable.

How can I propose my venue or a partnership?

Use the Venues page or Contact → Venues and partnerships. Describe the venue, city, hosting proposal and contact person. An enquiry is not a subscription or order; any commercial offer must state its price, duration and terms before you commit.
